What a wonderful tour! We learned so much and the kids were engaged the entire time. The oil is excellent and well worth a drive. Our tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable and warm.

It was an incredible experience! We learned an incredible amount of history about olives and Crete. We loved every second of it! And our host Val was very kind and courteous. She educated us in a very kind and knowledgeable way. You can definitely see her passion of olives and olive oil.

This is a lovely place! We had an informative tour around the facility. It was brief because it was raining so we could not see the entire farm. It was also early shoulder season in March so they did not appear to be fully open. Nonetheless the staff was attentive and incredibly friendly. They allowed us to taste all their products and easily aided in shipping across seas. They gave recommendations for other places to visit and even left us with a generous parting gift. So nice!

Отдыхали на Крите в августе 2025. Были на нескольких оливковых фермах. Но лучше этой не нашли! Замечательная Алла-экскурсовод рассказала о всех процессах выращивания оливок и производства оливкового масла. We got a concise and informative tour even with the free tour. No frills though worth the time spent. We saw a bit about the history and process then got to taste the result. We bought a few small bottles as souvenirs. Good for a quick stop and it helped us understand the region’s most important product better.
If you want to learn about Cretan olive oil and how it is made this is the place you should visit. We had a free tour of the estate with our excellent guide, Valado, and learned about the process of making olive oil. At the end of the tour we had the chance to try different types of olive oil and other products (like olive marmalade and candied olives) which were really tasty!
A wonderful experience, our outstanding and highly committed guide Valado took us on an amazing tour through an olive oil farm. We could not only got to know how the production process run, but also learn some details about olive trees and get a taste of some scrumptious products.

Trafiliśmy do tego miejsca zupełnie przypadkiem, przejeżdżając obok fabryki oliwy i sklepu Vasilakis Estate. Uwielbiamy takie miejsca, więc postanowiliśmy zawrócić. Na miejscu okazało się, że w niedzielę zwiedzanie standardowo nie jest dostępne, lecz dwie bardzo miłe przewodniczki z Polski oraz właściciele zdecydowali, że zorganizują dla nas prywatną wycieczkę! To był strzał w dziesiątkę. Wyszliśmy z ogromną dawką wiedzy i od teraz jesteśmy świadomymi miłośnikami oliwy. Na końcu czekała na nas degustacja oliwy i innych lokalnych produktów. Sensationell tolle Rundführung durch die Produktionsstätte, sogar deutschsprachig!! Wir kamen anfang November ohne Termin. Das Highligth war die Verkostung von vielen tollen lokal produzierten Produkten. Super Preis Leistungsverhältnis, Führung und Verkostung war kostenlos und eine sehr dezente angenehme Bewerbung der Produkte, was zum Kauf eingeladen hat. Können wir nur empfehlen und würden hier noch einmal hinkommen. Beeindruckend!

Wij gingen hierheen voor de olive oil tour zonder te reserveren. De tour is gratis. We moesten 10 min wachten voor een Engelse tour. Kregen een prive tour over hoe de olijfolie gemaakt wordt en daarna een tasting van verschillende olijfolie, vinegar, marmelade, limoncello etc. Erg leuk om te doen en zeker aan te raden.

Free olive oil production tour. Didn’t book and they still showed us around. 4th generation run company and exports globally. Works with local farmers and their own farm. Not the cheapest EVOO around but quality is one of the best (< 0.15) . Worth a visit if you on the way.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Vassilakis Estate, Olive Tour, Crete We took the free tour at Vassilakis Estate, and it was absolutely fantastic! Our guide, Adriana, was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. The tour began with a look at the traditional olive oil machinery and methods, followed by the modern production process, a really fascinating comparison. We were then taken down into the basement to see the storage containers before heading to the beautiful on-site farm shop, which has a huge range of local products. We were invited to taste their exceptional olive oils while learning what truly makes an oil “extra virgin.” The tasting also included local honey, olive pastes, and even natural skin products. It was a genuinely informative and enjoyable experience for the whole family, our children loved it too. Highly recommended and definitely a “do not miss” experience in Crete!
